Laura and Mike tie the knot in Port Perry

Port Perry is an enchanted place and it was the perfect spot for this charming couple, Laura and Mike’s wedding day. The mist rose as we arrived and gave way to clear blue skies by the time we had completed everyone’s hair and makeup.

While we had started early, the bride woke up with a serious case of hives, that had even swollen her lip! Not a kiss from a bee or her husband to be, but rather, we suspected, due to an unfortunate encounter with gypsy moth hairs that were hiding in a pile of leaves she’d cleared from the ceremony area the day before. Glamorous!

Now if any of my clients are reading this, you know what I reached for! My Kavana Reviving Rose Glow Mist and Kavana Face Nectar came to the rescue, along with some serious antihistamines to help calm the bride’s inflammation.

From the look of the photos, it is hard to tell that anything was awry mere hours before. And that my friends and Celine Dion, is the actual power of love! For everything else, there’s makeup and other miracles. ;)

Thank you for having us in your beautiful home Jane, and for trusting us with your wedding day hair and makeup, Laura and your dear bridal party! We had an amazing time with you all and would do it all over again for your anniversary party, but hold the hives!!
