I met Robyn at the Kortright Centre's Open House for brides, and my friend Blair Nadeau, a brilliant milliner and couture accessories designer whom I invited to share my table with, noticed her dinosaur purse right away! Bonding over Kate Spade bags, those two hit it off right away and it was a matter of minutes before Robyn and I got to talking about eco-friendly perfume, which she is also a fan of!
Robyn likes to laugh and has a wicked sense of humour and having spent the morning of her wedding with her father and brother, I can say it is a family trait! Between the three of them, a confederacy of inside jokes, dry wit and physical humour abounded. As I was doing Robyn's makeup and hair, I witnessed a push-up competition, a fries for breakfast buffet and possibly a father-son stand-up show, the likes of which I don't think I'll see again! At least not on the morning of a wedding.
Suffice it to say, my cheeks hurt I was laughing so much, and the time really flew by with this bunch! We reunited later in the winter for a photo exhibit of Toronto's leading Indie wedding photographers at the Gladstone Hotel, in which a gorgeous photo of Robyn and Brendan by photographer Fiona Chu, was showing. It was nice to see them and this beautiful portrait of their day and I'm delighted to share so many more beautiful photos of this special day. All photos courtesy of Fiona Chu.
